The devil is now throwing everything that is deadly as fast as he can at us because he knows his time is very short. It is interesting that the Douay-Rheims Catholic translation into English does contain the word Archturus. This version was produced only a few years before the K.J.V. and so they would obviously be more textually accurate to keep their adherents ‘eyeless in Gaza grinding at the mill’. The Bereans in both of these organizations would consider it to be more than a slight translation error if one or the other took the pen knife to such a descriptive word and probably go over to the other side or elsewhere after further study and a conclusive determination.

Great observation re Bible versions, Judges 16 with Samson, Delilah and Gaza etc.!!!!!!!!!

Samson, as a judge in Israel, is often seen as a “type” of Jesus Christ, and his Philistine betrayer Delilah and prostitute, Judas Iscariot.

In Judges 16:23 you will see that the god of the Philistines was the fish-god DAGON (linked to “dragon”). When Samson prayed to God and his hair started to regrow he regained some of his strength, when he pushed the two main supporting pillars apart and brought the Temple of Dagon crashing down and sacrificed himself and killed the Philistine worshippers PLUS THE “LORDS” OF THE PHILISTINES.

This worship of Dagon from Babylon was taken up by the Philistines, apostate Jews and then the apostate Roman Catholic Church symbolized by the Pope’s and bishops’ mitres, and then retained by the hierarchy in the apostate Protestant Church of England. After the Reformation it was quite correctly, largely not used, but was restored in the late 19th century as a result of the Oxford Movement.

Originally, Westminster Abbey was founded as a Roman Catholic Benedictine Monastery, then later as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter. Just as the early Christian church in Rome apostatized and reverted to its original paganism, so too the Protestant Church of England, but I would suggest, the Protestant Church’s apostasy is very much worse and much more devious!
