Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been under fire yet again for the last week for dismissing 9/11 as an event in which “some people did something” that made Muslims look bad.
Right, because that was the real tragedy of 9/11. Everyone scrambling to make sure Islamophobia didn’t increase. Not the thousands dead at the hands of crazed Islamic terrorists. That was just an side.
On a Friday appearance on the Fox News Channel’s The Five, Geraldo Rivera actually defended Omar for her abhorrent comments, claiming that poor little Ilhan just doesn’t have the “language” to properly describe the tragedy.
I can’t tell if this is patronizing or just plain stupid.
