I watched that. Indeed things are starting to all come to a head. There is so very much to keep up with right now. My parents are in the UK. They have been food prepping as per advice I gave them a while back. I’m glad they listened. Germany is the one in real trouble. France, I see as having the least problems because of plentiful nuclear power and total food self-sufficiency. That said, France will be under pressure to feed struggling nations.
Interestingly, on the subject of nuclear power, there are many nations around the world, who are attempting to double their nuclear potential and as far as I understand it, Russia is the current world leader in fifth gen reactors that eat most of their own waste. They export their nuclear power expertise and are building plants in different countries. Russia itself is increasing its nuclear output. The UK also plans to build more nuclear power stations….if the UK remains in existence of course, given the chance of nuclear war. Ironic isn’t it. A push for nuclear power at the same time as a high risk of nuclear war.
All is well down here. Mostly both over Covid. It hung on as a slight cough and a slight lack of full energy levels.
Thanks for your valued comment & report.
RE: NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS IN EUROPE
Here is my opinion.
As far as I’m aware, in January 2022 Germany shut down 3 of its last 6 nuclear reactor power stations as part of its broader plans to support renewable energy. The other 3 still operating are scheduled to close by the end of this year. Without realizing it, at this stage at least, these decisions by the Germans before the Ukrainian military crisis blew up with Ukraine and Russia limiting the conflict to conventional weapons, it would appear a wise decision. The main reason being if the conflict spread from Ukraine those power stations would become a prime target and if bombed by conventional weapons alone would produce similar radiation to a nuclear bomb exploding in the same area.
Of course, the real mental retards are the UK and France, in carrying on yet building more nuclear reactors. The UK has about 11 operational nuclear power stations at present and if these were bombed, good bye UK! This would be equivalent to 11 Fukushima nuclear disasters.
However, France is the biggest lunatic of all. France now has fully 56 nuclear reactors mainly along its borders. Currently 28 of these nuclear reactors or exactly half are now taken off-line for maintenance (which seems incredibly suspicious to me at the same time events are escalating in Ukraine). Now here is the enormous danger:
The predominant wind flow from France is to the EAST, and in a nuclear reactor explosion after being bombed or hit by a missile even with conventional explosives, the three countries most at risk from immediate, severe radioactive fallout other than France are in this order; Germany, Switzerland and Luxemburg. Of the 28 EU countries, Germany is the economic powerhouse producing 25.1% of Europe’s entire GDP. It is the 4th biggest economy in the world. So with the Germans now supporting the UK, USA and NATO in the sanctions against Russia, apart from the possibility of having their oil and gas cut off by Russia soon, much worse, even if Russia were not to use its nuclear weapons against them, both France and Germany have both placed themselves in a very nasty position indeed. So goodbye Mercedes, Audi and BMW!
Actually, in spite of the giant lunatic asylum here, at least under normal circumstances, theoretically at least, we should be out of the line of fire from Russia! I mean. Seriously. Why waste an expensive nuclear missile on a distant target like a lunatic institution full of mainly harmless imbeciles!
Cheers.
