Mirvis has quite a lot of pull in the Jewish leadership community in Israel, having in 1990 received the Jerusalem Prize for Education in the Diaspora from the President of Israel, Chaim Herzog – and he was made a Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE) in the 2023 New Year Honours for services to the Jewish community and Jewish Interfaith relations.
Staying with the King the night before his coronation???? Now that is some special ‘honour’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
